Breathalyser Calibration
Regular calibration is essential to maintain the accuracy and reliability of your breathalyser. Over time, the sensor that measures breath alcohol concentration can drift, which may affect the accuracy of results if the device is not properly maintained.
For workplace alcohol testing programmes, routine calibration is also required to perform within specification to stay compliant with relevant standards.
At Sober Check, we carry out in-house calibration for all breathalysers we supply, using both wet bath and dry gas calibration methods. This ensures consistent and dependable performance.
Calibration depends on the device, manufacturer requirements and is in accordance with AS 3547:2019:
- Lifeloc LT7 – every 12 months
- All other models – every 6 months
If your device is older, no longer compliant, or requiring frequent calibration, it may be time to review your options. You can explore our range of workplace and personal breathalysers, including guidance on choosing the right device, here.
We also occasionally have refurbished units available. If you’re interested, let us know and we can advise what’s currently in stock.
